There are several perks of being a senior citizen. But for the adventurous kinds, there’s probably nothing better than senior travel deals. From hotel bookings to flight tickets, you can save big bucks on nearly all your travel expenses once you hit your golden years. And, given it is shopping season right now, you can boost your savings with Black Friday senior travel deals. Here, we’ve listed the top travel deals and discounts for seniors.

Before we look at the deals, it’s crucial to point out that you’ll be eligible for various travel discounts if you’re an American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) member. AARP is America’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering aging adults. They have also partnered with the online travel shopping company Expedia to offer a comprehensive travel search experience to older travelers. Expedia exclusively features an AARP Travel Center where seniors can find deals and discounts on rental cars, cruises, flights, hotels, and more. Anyone who is 50 or older can apply to become an AARP member. If you aren’t already a member, you can join for approximately $16 per year.

Car rentals
Many top car rental companies are offering savings, top-class service, and exclusive benefits to AARP members if they book through Expedia. These companies include Avis, Budget, and Payless. With Avis and Budget, seniors can save up to 30% on car rentals at select locations worldwide. They can also get a free car class upgrade at select locations in the US and Canada. Additionally, Avis and Budget won’t collect a fee for one additional driver. If you prefer Payless, you can get 5% off, a free car class upgrade, and one additional driver fee waived. Note that these offers are only available at select locations in the country.

You’re not a member of AARP? Don’t be disappointed, because there’s something for you too. Hertz, one of the largest car rental companies, is offering up to 20% off base rates for all travelers who are 50 years and older. And, those who are existing members of the Hertz Fifty Plus program can also take advantage of additional benefits.

Hotels and vacation rentals
This Black Friday, seniors have a chance to save big bucks on premium hotels and vacation rentals bookings. Choice Hotels are currently offering up to a 10% discount on advance bookings to adults over 60 or AARP members. As one of the largest hotel chains in the world, Choice Hotel owns several hotel brands, including Ascend Hotel Collection, Cambria Hotels & Suites, Quality Inn, Clarion Hotel, and Econo Lodge, and this offer applies to many of them. Another popular hotel company, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is running special deals and discounts on their range of hotels, everything from upscale and lifestyle hotel brands to value and extended stay hotel brands.

AARP members can get massive discounts if they book hotels via Expedia. As a part of the Black Friday sale, Expedia is offering up to 50% off on hotels in many desirable locations nationwide, such as Las Vegas, New York, and Miami. You can also enjoy huge savings on select vacation rentals in the country.

Flights
Until a few years ago, many airlines offered discounts for senior citizens. Though it’s not that common anymore, some airlines and online travel agencies are still helping seniors book a flight ticket at an affordable price. For example, United Airlines is offering senior fares to select destinations at present. However, only adults who are at least 65 years old are eligible. For more details on discounted fares, ensure to choose the senior category on the airline’s website when making your booking.

Older adults who are AARP members can also save on flight tickets through Expedia. The online travel company will not charge booking fees or any additional fee for specialty tickets (multi-destination or multi-carrier). Note that this deal applies to all domestic and international flights available through AARP Travel Centre.

Cruises
Seniors looking to go to a faraway place, all the while relaxing and having fun, must take advantage of cruise deals this Black Friday. At present, Carnival Cruise is offering exclusive savings for adults aged 55 and older. You can check the calendar at the cruise line’s website to find the best fares, by date, departure port, destination, the type of stateroom you want, and other filters. The Royal Caribbean cruise line is also offering reduced senior prices for guests who are 55 years or older. Note that the offer is only valid on selected sailings. To know more about sailing and discounts, you can visit their official website.

The online travel company Expedia, once again, is offering cruise savings for AARP members. If you’re an AARP member, you can get extra onboard credit of up to $750 on over 15 cruise lines. These include popular ones like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Viking, and Carnival cruise lines.
