a/e ProNet David W. Lakamp Scholarship
This scholarship is for those who show a detailed interest in the field of architecture, specifically in practice and risk management. Only two students are selected on an annual basis, who get rewarded $5,000 for their education. There are a couple of criteria for this scholarship which includes a GPA of 3.0 or higher, fourth-year students of a NAAB-accredited degree program, or fourth-year students enrolled in a four-year pre-professional degree program who were accepted through a direct entry to a NAAB-accredited M.Arch program of two years or first-year students in a NAAB-accredited M. Arch degree program for those undergraduates who have studied in another discipline.
Fellowships for Americans – American-Scandinavian Foundation
This scholarship encourages a lot of cultural exchange between students. If you are an American student, ASF will offer $300,000 in scholarship to students, professionals, artists, and scholars to study or do their research in any of the Scandinavian countries; Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, and Finland. There are fellowships available up to $23,000 to support a year-long academic stay. The fellowship award is prioritized towards graduate students who need to spend time in any of these countries for their research or study visits. There are grants available (up to $5,000) for a shorter research visit. This is available to both graduate and post-graduate students.
East-West Center Scholarships and Fellowships
They provide short and long-term scholarships for those needing any financial assistance in studying or professional development. They have several programs that they run like Journalism Fellowships and Exchanges, Leadership Development, Washington DC – Congressional Staff Programs, Washington DC – Visiting Fellowships and Exchange Programs, and some other opportunities. They currently have four live scholarship programs, namely the 2022 Pacific Islands Leadership Program, CSC-EWC Visiting Scholars Program, EWC Seminars Live, North Pacific Arctic Conference Fellowship.
Citizens Scholarship
To honor parents and students who make an effort to pursue higher education, Citizens rewards $2,500 every month. All you have to do is register yourself by filling out a form, and you’re also automatically enrolled for an annual grand prize of $15,000. Just Walkers Mobility Scholarship
The organization offers a scholarship of $1,000 to undergraduate and graduate students who have mobility disabilities. There is a prompt question for the student, and they have to write a 600-word essay on the same. The question could be something like – “Describe a time when you faced a major obstacle. What did you do, and what did the experience teach you?” The winner is selected based on storytelling and merit by a committee. The person applying for a scholarship must be in use of a mobility device like crutches, power scooter, wheelchair, or rollator for daily use.
Churchill Scholarship
This scholarship, offered by the Winston Churchill Foundation, is for those seeking to study physical and natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering, at the University of Cambridge based at Churchill College. This is an application only for one year of postgraduate study. The eligibility criteria for the same is that the student must be a U.S. citizen, currently be a senior or have been known to graduate from participating institutions in the last 12 months, holds a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college, and may not have attained a doctorate.
Edmond J. Safra Graduate Fellowship Program
This is specifically for Harvard-enrolled students, and it focuses on teaching and research in ethics. The theme for the research changes every year, and this year they are following the topic of “A New Social Compact?” which studies the various national responses to Covid-19 and the different health policies that have affected the handling of the pandemic. The applicant must be a Harvard doctoral program student or recent graduate, or currently enrolled in a Harvard professional degree program excluding law or medicine, or a full-time academic visitor to Harvard on an exchange program and has no other professional commitments during the scholarship year. The award for the academic year 2023-24 is $34,000 plus some additional funds for research.
